Ah, the time-honored, ancient art of Chinese Blackface!
I came across this "film" in/on a DVD 8-pack, $5.00 for the lot of 'em, and STILL feel ripped off!!!
I am an ardent fan of WIPs (Women-In-Prison; -Peril) and an occasional fan of Hong Kong Schlock (Best In Show: "ROBO VAMPIRE" or maybe "SAMURAI REINCARNATION") but i'm sorry: This thing is simply insufferable! A useful review and/or commentary? Well, no, absolutely not... I just needed to get this little something off my chest! As for the remaining product, well, I only bought the first disc (used) with the following titles: "Raw Force" "Savage Man: Savage Beast"(Not half-bad Mondo Movie) "Women's Camp 119" (AKA: "SS Extermination Camp" & KZ9-Lager di Sterminio") etc. OH wait: I DID get the 2nd disc with it, but all of its contents were execrable!

Not that bad!
As far as I can remember, no Star Trek-Movie got passed the critics without being called "a shame for the francise" or "the worst trek movie ever". Especially the trekkies are very conservative and don't accept any new ideas.
"Nemesis" has some problems in it: the scenario was taken out of nowhere and has nearly no relationship to the TNG-Series or the other movies. The hints given by some characters like Janeway or Shinzon ("like your borg friends would say...")do not help, they're making it even worse. Also, there is not much room for the other characters like Geordi or Crusher, even Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis are not allowed to make much of their roles. The worst of all is the telephatic duell between Deanna and the reman viceroy: it just DOESN'T FIT into the Star Trek universe!
But after all, "Nemesis" is not that bad. Steward and Spiner are doing a wonderful job, Tom Hardy is also good as Shinzon and Ron Perlman adds another dying character to his filmography. The battle between the "Enterprise" and the "Scimitar" is even better than that between the original ship and the "Reliant" in Star Trek II.
For me, the most important thing about this movie is the ending: There will be no more movies with the TNG-Crew, so it was very important for me to see how their story continues. And it does continue, the journey to the final frontier goes on. And that just isn't that bad!

Great flick ... and the big man (Paul Vario) was excellent !
I've been writing hardboiled crime fiction for a number of years now. When a writer develops a story he always has a character/actor in mind to bring the story to life. Last weekend I found a new one in Paul Vario playing uncle Benny in Eddie Monroe. This was a slick film highlighted by Vario's presence both on and off the screen (as his voice-over narration is also heard). I also especially liked the actress playing Benny's niece and Eddie's ex-wife, although everyone did a fine job in this exciting movie about playing with bad guys and the double-crossing that goes with it. A nice job all around ... and Mr. Vario shined brightest. He's gotta be my Tony Gangi someday ...

Really awesome and funny B (or even C) movie!
My flatmate and I just finished watching this.
We were expecting it to be so stupid it was awful/funny, but the movie was so purposely awful, it was amazingly awesome.
We're both really impressed with your creative imagination, and the appallingly intentional stupidity of this movie, well done :D Anyone that says this movie isn't a good movie, obviously misses the entire point. ITS NOT MEANT TO BE GOOD, HAVE BELIEVABLE CHARACTERS, OR A REALISTIC PLOT! Well done, and that was one of the funniest movies i've watched in a long time, way better then any big Hollywood movie in the last 5 years!

An ode to Old school
In the nutshell the movie pays tribute to the original super-hit "Yamagola" and blends in a few tried-and-test sub-plots (read that as 1980's formula loaded with cinematic liberties). Nonetheless, it is an interesting watch and delivers good laughs.
Jr. NTR:: Performance wise, strictly OK considering the fact that "original" NTRs blood runs in his veins. And yes, his dancing skills deserve special mention - very supple & fluid.
Mohan Babu:: Initially, you search for Satyanarayana in the character but as you go along the tide you feel his performance is equally impressive, if not better.
Priyamani:: Manages to effective evoke the sympathy of the audience with her "miss-goody-two-shoes" performance and her soft expressions. You are glued to her until Mamta Mohandas appears on the screen.
Mamta Mohandas:: Now she is one heavy-weight if I might use the expression for every time she appears in the frame she sets it ablaze. Bessotted - completely!
Khusboo:: No meat in the character.
Naresh:: Good to see after a long hiatus and well suited for the role of Narada.
Rest of the star cast is adequate.
The art department and the CGI deserves nothing short of standing ovation. And same should be said for the concept of resurrecting the "orignal NTR". Needless to say, very clever and indeed innovative considering the fact its great to see the duo share the screen space.

Standard vacuous '80s love story.
Meg Foster plays a 30-something photographer/artist. Douglas Greenall is a 19 year old adrenaline junkie who races motorcycles. They fall in love and encounter the usual relationship problems. The only thing that saves this film from being a total waste is the appealing nature of the two leads. Other than that, however, this is strictly an unremarkable love story which has been told countless times before. 3/10

Mis-Advertised
I love this film. It shows the very human struggle to survive after they've been knocked from the top of the food chain. It blends medieval mythology with a modern era breathlessly. Definitely an original take on Man vs Dragon. Now to get this straight, this is a film about Humans, not about Dragons. The dragons merely supply the unique reason for the apocalypse. This is a film about the post-apocalypse, not the apocalypse. It's not about skies full of Dragons turning worldwide armed forces into ash on an epic scale. It's not about Dragons setting the world, quite literally, on fire. It's about after all that's happened.
Which is a shame this was advertised as a film about Dragons burning all life as we know it. Of course, everyone goes in expecting to see 90 minutes of Dragons destroying everything. If this had been advertised as a more human film about after these Dragons have completely wasted everything, I really think this could've been seen as a good film. It unfortunately set expectations high in the wrong sort of viewers by a mind-blowingly epic trailer.
Christian Bale, Gerard Butler and Matthew McConaughey all deliver their role superbly, and the script isn't as bad as it's made out to be either. The effects were great and the Dragons do look pretty realistic, to the point I almost believed this was a documentary. Okay, so there are some plot holes, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fill those in yourself. I mean, does everything have to be explained so obviously? The only reason this film gets 4 stars and not 5 is because, being a film about human struggle, it could've done with a bit more character development. Other than that, it's a deeply entertaining, well-acted, suspenseful film.
Don't knock it before you see it for yourself.

Flawed, but worthy of a watch
This film is a low-budget tale of a small-time fence and police informer who cannot seem to successfully deal with a corrupt police department, and with his friends. Some good acting is managed along with sporadically interesting direction, and ofttimes creative camera-work, despite a trite and muddled script. William McNamara's principal expression (deer in headlights), is appropriate for his part, while Jay Acovone steals each scene in which he appears in this work, filmed completely within that assault upon the senses, Los Angeles' Skid Row. Attempts at humor are welcome, but a better script would have been necessary to make this an artistic success.
