Five kids survive a airplane terrorist attack. They are trained from childhood to become an elite team of anti-terrorist fighters. When they are assigned to find out what happened to a batch of chemical-containing land-mines they find themselves facing the same men that brought down the flight which killed their parents. The fight becomes personal and they disobey orders to stop a missile launch against a computer convention crowd in Athens. They board a hijacked war ship and, retaining minimal wounds, prevent the attack.

Mission Impossible meets GQ Magazine
You gotta love these late night cable action films. They don't have those Joel Silver budgets, you've never heard of anyone in the cast, but they sure try hard. This particular one, The Elite, has to be the wildest and most obscure attempt I've seen so far. The cast is full of the most beautiful men and women on the planet (I know I've seen some of them in GQ magazine and never in anything else.) But, instead of making it one of those T&A babes with guns flicks, this film takes itself serious...well, sort of. The plot is right out of a James Bond movie...the crazed terrorist (Jurgen Prochnow) out to destroy a target that will change the world forever...then the good guys try to stop him...so, it's not that serious or original. But the rest of the story actually has some depth and the action scenes are fun...and also totally over the top. It's not what I was expecting at all. I recommend seeing it when everything on TV at 3AM
