When the rulers of Malwa, Pushpapuri and Paanchal find out that their respective kingdoms are under attack by Jung forces, they consolidate their wealth, hide it underground, surrounded by 3 statutes of Hindu Deities, hide it's location in 3 different necklaces, which are then handed over from generation to generation of their respective queens. 200 years later Shamsher Jung attacks and takes over the kingdom of Malwa, forcing Maharaj Dharampal Singh to flee and be eventually be separated from his wife, and two sons, Jay and Vejay. Years later Dharampal is still in hiding away from his wife, Jay has been brought by a bandit named Bhavani Singh, and is now known and feared as Sher Singh, while Vejay is the Senapati of none other than Malwa's Maharaj, Diler Jung, the son of Shamsher. Everyone's path will collide, albeit unknowingly, when they confront each other and race to be the first to take possession of the hidden wealth.

Review :

Not a memorable film... but Shelton does a lot more then shine. Wink Wink

Probably only for Shelton fans.. Anomalo fortio is far from being a "good" film. The entire movie is filmed on a huge ship. The action sequences are rushed and it's not directed or edited with any particular care. The acting is OK and there is a lot of bland action. Fact is, this film could be seen primarily as erotica and the only woman in the film is a young and incredibly cute Deborah Shelton who apparently lived in Greece at the time and it was there where she made her first screen appearances. A fairly low budget pic with some studly Greek action stars none of whom ever made it big in Greece. Deborah Shelton is the only real (soon to be) star here and she is the only standout of the film. Oh and to my surprise she is constantly nude in this film including some really saucy sex scenes with the Pirate leader. Sadly, I doubt this film will ever see a re-release on DVD. Who knows.

This cult classic really delivers!

I have to say I know of lots of Kung Fu Cult films and I've never even heard of this one until RARESCOPE bought it from the star/producer of Along Comes a Tiger, Wang Tao! It is a remake of the classic western "Once Upon a Time in the West" and features several of the same elements but overall it very unique. It features lots of fights at breakneck speeds. Some of the other HK legends in the film include Philip Ko and Tung Wei (the famous "Kick Me" kid from Enter the Dragon). Another element I liked was the fact that Wang Tao's character Sacred Cloud didn't speak at all (so you don't have to worry about the usual "You killed my father prepare to die!"). Overall I felt Along Comes a Tiger doesn't follow the usual formula of Chop Socky films and proves to be a diamond in the rough. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!

Make sure to buy the RARESCOPE DVD release that features a commentary and several other special features, including an anamorphic widescreen presentation.
